Liberty Disposable Adult Yankauer
This Yankauer suction tube is 27cm in length and disposable. It is used an oral suctioning tool used in medical procedures. It attaches directly to a pump and is ideal for first responders, first-aid environments and minor surgery. The firm plastic suction tip is disposable and features a large opening surrounded by a bulbous head.
Designed to allow effective suction and prevent damage to the surrounding tissue, the suction keeps the throat clear of saliva and phlegm, capturing secretions and preventing aspiration. Yankauer instruments are used to clear operative sites during surgical procedures. Sterile and individually wrapped, the tubing is made of K-resin.
The Yankeur suctioning tool was developed around 1907 by American otolaryngologist Sidney Yankauerth, the Yankauer suction instrument has become the most commonly-used medical suction instrument in the world.
